The Manor Reborn, presented by Penelope Keith and Paul Martin, was a four part landmark BBC series which followed a lively team of historians, designers and volunteers as they refurbished the 500 year old manor. The finished rooms evoke the personalities of the families that lived there and the athmosphere of the era in which they lived. |

Wednesday 24th October - Arundel Castle £26.00 |
|
There are nearly 1000 years of history at this great castle, situated in magnificent grounds overlooking the river Arun in West Sussex and built at the end of the 11th century by Roger de Montgomery, Earl of Arundel. On our way to the castle we hope to visit the English Martyrs Church at Goring-By-Sea, whose ceiling is a recreation of the Sistine Chapel, Rome. The ceiling is 2/3 scale of the original and the colours match the original in Rome. |
